----
=== Intro: 5pb's concert ===

This part really showcases this show's animation quality. Whenever the main cast is on screen, there ''isn't'' any animation - most of the girls are just static images being scrolled across the screen, with [[Neptun|Nep]], [[Compa]], and [[Best Girl]] being the only exceptions because they have dialogue. The next time we cut back to them, they don't even scroll anymore, it's just static images. Basically the entire show is like this. The animation on [[5pb]] herself is pretty decent, and the cgi on the planes is fine, so they clearly can animate if they feel like it, they're just lazy (this is accurate to the source material, now that I think about it). Also the cgi'd crowd looks really bad, but what did you expect lol.

[[Warechu]] is also there making puns or whatever.

=== Opening ===

This is the most tastefully done 4th wall break in the entire franchise. It's an allusion to the medium of the show, and a reference to events that only the audience actually experiences, without any of the characters in-universe explicitly acknowledging it as such, or at all. If the entire series has been like this, instead of stale memes and ready player one with hot anime women, it might've actually been good<ref>i mean instead of the ready player one part, the hot anime women can stay that's fine</ref>.

Opening is p good tbh.

=== Green Heart's secret ===

[[Vert]] plays [[Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory|MMOs]] with a controller. Normally I would make fun of this, but unfortunately the caster DPS in my raid group also does that. He's not on console or anything, so it's not like he ''can't'' use kb+m, he just doesn't. Absolute psychopath behavior.

=== [[Leanbox]]'s new technology ===

I bet you were expecting me to make fun of the kinect, right? Well, here's the thing, I actually had one growing up, and you know what? How this episode portrays it is pretty much how it felt. I spent like a month grinding out the platinums in the raft game, and every time I had friends over we would play table tennis on it the entire time. Fuck the haters, the kinect ''was'' this fun. (ok, maybe the hoverboard sonic game wasn't very good)

=== the plot relevant part ===

[[IF]] has a [[Hyperdimension Neptunia|gun]] holy shit.

=== Ending ===

You're welcome, [[CFW Trick|Trick]].

[[File:Time_to_kill.png|thumb|350px|conquest time]]This is now objectively the best Neptunia wiki, because it is the only one that has this information.

No, seriously, why the fuck was this so difficult to find.
it's me, I play this piece of shit.

The only thing confirmed so far is that damage dealt is directly proportional to attack power. Further research ongoing [[User:Onion/hdn|here]].

== [[Hyperdimension Neptunia Mk2|Hyperdimension Neptunia Mk II]] ==
There is some information in this thread on GameFAQs, however it's not entirely organised: https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/boards/627124-hyperdimension-neptunia-mk2/62208276

== [[Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory]]/[[Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1|Re;Birth1]]/[[Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth2 Sisters Generation|Re;Birth2]]/[[Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth3 V Generation|Re;Birth3]]/others probably<ref>https://pastebin.com/SCQLiynh</ref> ==
None of these numbers are rounded unless the description or formula explicitly says they are. Most formulas are rounded ''down'' at the end, anyways.

=== Share Adjustment ===
Share adjustment for CPUs/Candidates gives a tiny, tiny increase to a character's stats depending on how many shares that character's nation has. This only applies in battle, and doesn't show up on the stats screen. This applies to all stats except HP and SP.
* When attacking, stats increase by 1% for every 5% of shares.
* When being attacked, stats increase by 1% for every 3% of shares.
* [[Nepgear]]'s Leader Skill multiplies these buffs by 20%. This actually just has the effect of increasing all CPU stats by 20%, which is fucking broken.
* This buff can bypass the 9999 stat cap.
* DLC [[Plutia]] and [[Peashy]] still benefit from [[Planeptune]] shares in Re;Birth1.
* This applies to bosses as well, so if you're struggling against a CPU, don't bother messing with shares because it's single percents lol.
** Oddly enough, when Yellow Heart is affiliated with [[Eden]], she still benefits from Planeptune shares.

=== Solo Adjustment ===
If a character fights solo, they gain a 10% buff to STR, VIT, INT, and MEN. This stacks multiplicatively with other buffs, such as in-battle buffs and share buffs.

=== Weaken/Toughen Enemies (Remake System) ===
This mechanic changes enemies' STR, VIT, INT, and MEN by 15% rounded down in the corresponding direction. For example, an enemy with 999 strength normally would have 850 strength when weakened, and 1148 when strengthened.

=== Accuracy ===
Chance to hit = <math>\lfloor \frac{Attacker LUK + Attacker TEC}{(Attacker LUK/2) + Defender AGI} \cdot 70 + Direction Adjustment \rfloor</math>

Direction Adjustment is 0 from the front, 15 from the side, and 25 from behind.

There is no artificial cap to this, so both guaranteed misses and guaranteed hits are possible. For a multi-hit move, hitrate is rolled individually for every hit.

=== Critical Hit Rate ===
Crit Rate = <math>\lfloor \frac{Attacker LUK}{4} + \frac{Attacker TEC}{5} - \frac{Defender LUK}{5} - \frac{Defender TEC}{5} \rfloor</math>

Just like Accuracy, there are no caps on this besides 0% and 100%, so you can outstat an enemy to the point that you're guaranteed to crit, or you could be outstatted to the point that it's impossible for you to crit.

=== Hit Power ===
Hit Power = <math>\frac{Listed Power}{Number of Hits \cdot 100}</math>

Damage calculations are done per individual hit of a move. The extra hits on EXE Drives that ensue in boss battles count as a different attack and use a separate, hidden Power value and Number of Hits.

=== Guard Break ===
Depleting an enemy's guard bar inflicts the Guard Break status effect. This effect disappears if the enemy is hit while the guard bar isn't empty, or if the guard bar regenerates to full. Enemies will regenerate 20% of their guard bar per turn they spend guard broken.

=== Damage Formula ===
* GBA (Guard Break Adjustment) = 1.4 if the Guard Break status effect is active, else 1.0
* RA (Random Adjustment) = a random number between 0.9 (inclusive) and 0.92 (exclusive)
* HCA (Hit Count Adjustment) = <math>1 + \frac{Current Combo Hit Count}{200}</math>
* CHA (Critical Hit Adjustment) = 1.5 if the attack crit, else 1.0
* DA (Directional Adjustment) = 1.0 from the front, 1.2 from the side, 1.4 from the back
** In Re;Birth3, this only applies on the enemies' turn.
Damage = <math>\lfloor [(5 \cdot Offensive Stat \cdot GBA) - (3 \cdot Defensive Stat)] \cdot Hit Power \cdot RA \cdot HCA \cdot CHA \cdot DA \rfloor</math>

In most cases, damage is capped at 9999.<ref>The player's damage is capped, enemies' is not.</ref> If the damage cap is broken (some items, abilities, and moves allow you to do this), damage becomes capped at 999,999,999. Your attacks will never heal an enemy.

Research currently on hold until I get a bit farther into the game, and can actually collect data easily.

I'll be assuming the basic formulas and mechanics are the same as the later games (barring things like direction and nonexistent stats, of course), and re-evaluate if I see anything to contradict that. A gamefaqs walkthrough[https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/ps3/995177-hyperdimension-neptunia/faqs/62213] claims shares also affect turn order, we'll see.

Yes, I autopiloted to markdown syntax. No, I'm not going to fix it. Fuck you.

== Overview ==

Base stats ("status"):
- Strength
- Vitality
- Agility
- Intelligence
- Mentality
- Luck

Derived stats ("parameter"):
- HP
- AP
- Physical attack
- Physical defense
- Magical attack
- Magical defense
- Elemental resistances (water/earth/fire/air)

Since there are (probably) multipliers on raw attack and defense, and I don't see monster stats, I'll be using attack value (AV) and defense value (DV) for {attack|defense}*multiplier

== Findings so far ==

Derived parameters (physical/magical attack/defense): <math>Param=200+Stat\cdot6</math>

AP: <math>AP=60+Level\cdot4</math>

Damage: <math>AV=\frac{Attack}{50};Damage=(AV-DV)\cdot Power</math>

Difficulty: Switching off of normal makes enemies deal ±20% damage.
A delta of 5 points in a stat = 30 points in derived parameter, so 1stat = 6param (level-dependent? I'm guessing it's 5+level times stat)

Seems to hold across stats. At this point, param = 200 + 6 * stat

AP is purely level-based iirc (60 + 4*level?)

HP... I'm guessing is an innate stat? If not, current formula would be (40*(vit+men)+1000)/3, which is weird
[[File:Smol_dogoo.png|thumb|Our target]]
The tutorial battle is against two dogoos, letting me do some data collection; I am ignoring hitcount for now, because whatever effect it has, it is almost certainly too small to matter at this point. I am also ignoring shares, because it's probably completely irrelevant again.

We've got 3 basic attacks to work with: weapon, martial arts, and '''gun'''

Neptune, weapon attack (460pa, 20power): [124.6] 125 125 125 128 126 122 125 125 121 124

Neptune, martial arts attack (460pa, 25power): [157.1] 153 155 161 156 158 159 156 158 159 156

Neptune, gun (410ma, 20power): [115.5] 113 114 118 114 116 118

Compa, weapon attack (350pa, 20power): [79.7] 78 79 78 80 80 81 82

Compa, martial arts attack (350pa, 25power): [100.3] 101 98 99 98 102 104

Compa, gun (440ma, 20power): [115.4] 115 113 113 116 120

I'm going to assume that the dogoo has the same pdef and mdef, because the numbers look about right for that to be the case, and because it would make my life way easier.

=== Damage ===
Both power and attack are probably linear, because why wouldn't they be. The formula is most likely attack*constant-defense*constant, because that's how it works in later games. Power applies either to the attack side, or to the final result (probably the latter, because that's how it works in later games). In either case, if I only look at attacks with the same power, I can get a linear equation for damage in terms of attack. Compa,gun and Neptune,gun are annoyingly close, so I'll pick only one of them (it's compa).

WolframAlpha gives me a line of best fit: 0.4*attack-60 for attacks with 20 power. If power is a post-multiplier, 25 power should give me 0.5*attack-75. Does it? Ehh, kind of? It's 0.5*attack-80, but I'm assuming nep just high rolled. When I eyeballed it to compa=100 and nep=155, I got 0.5a-75 exactly, which gives me way nicer numbers, so I assume that's probably correct.

Confirmation (ish): power is a post multiplier; damage is (AV - DV) * power. AV is attack stat divided by 50. Dogoos have a DV of 3

With this in mind, the damage values should be:
{| class="article-table" style="width: 600px;" cellspacing="1" cellpadding="1" border="1"
|-
! scope="col" |Power\Attack
! scope="col" |350
! scope="col" |410
! scope="col" |440
! scope="col" |460
|-
! scope="row" |20
|80
|104
|116
|124
|-
! scope="row" |25
|100
|130
|145
|155
|}

Problem: Nep is doing too much gun damage (~115, on par with compa); why?

=== Defense ===
Nep is taking 80~82 through 710 defense (average 80.8)
Compa is taking 87~90 through 650 defense (average 89)

Assuming the damage formula is the same, we can calculate defense multiplier*power and attack*power (the power factor is because we don't know the dogoo's stats or what attack it's using). defense mult*power ~ 1/6. attack*mult*power ~ 200. This is not useful yet, but probably will be eventually.

== Difficulty ==
This game has difficulty settings! Higher difficulties make both you and enemies deal more damage. The swing appears to be +/- 20% for enemies. Neptune deals +/-15% more damage, while Compa deals +/-10%. Weird. This means I have to test on normal. Unfortunate, but oh well.

Considered that difficulty applies a constant multiplier to just the attack value, but that's not it either - the modifiers are way off. How do you work, gameplay option?

- Mentality
- HP
- Physical attack
- Physical defense
- Magical attack
- Magical defense
- Elemental resistances (water/earth/fire/air)

Since there are (probably) multipliers on raw attack and defense, and I don't see monster stats, I'll be using attack value (AV) and defense value (DV) for {attack|defense}*multiplier

Params after equipment (HP/PA/MA/PD/MD):
Nep: 1550/460/410/710/710

=== Damage ===

|100
|130
|145
|155
|}

Problem: Nep is doing too much gun damage (~115, on par with compa); why?

=== Defense ===

== Difficulty ==

=== Damage ===

|130
|145
|155
|}

=== Defense ===

== Difficulty ==

=== Damage ===

|124
|-
! scope="row" |25
|100
|130
|145
|155
|}

=== Defense ===

=== Damage ===

A delta of 5 points in a stat = 30 points in derived parameter, so 1stat = 6param (level-dependent? I'm guessing it's 5+level times stat)

Seems to hold across stats. At this point, param = 200 + 6 * stat

AP is purely level-based iirc

HP... I'm guessing is an innate stat? If not, current formula would be (40*(vit+men)+1000)/3, which is weird

Going in with nep on final params: 1550/460/410/710/710

Going in with com on final params: 1300/350/440/650/690

The shop is called "Reedio's Feedio & Seedio", where f and s both end in the sound "-eedio", thus rhyming with the name of the owner, Reedio. The sign says that the shop was "Formerly Chuko's", implying that the two words beginning with "F" and "S" would have ended with "-uko", rhyming with "Chuko". So, when Chuko owned the shop, it would have been called "Chuko's Feedioucko & Seediouko".</option>
I am trained in hedgehog warfare and I'm the top swordsman in the entire Planetune armed forces. You are nothing to me but just another target for pudding stealing. Not only am i extensively trained in goddess combat, but i have access to the entire arsenal of the Planeptune Marines Corps and I will use it to its full extent to wipe your miserable ass of the face of Gameindustri, you little shit. If only you could have known what unholy retribution your little “clever” comment was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have held your fucking tongue.

This game is just V with worse combat.

==Plot==

===PART 1===
Neptune and Nepgear get isekai'd into a Dreamcast. Definitely not retreading Rei's purple haze thing.

This dimension is some weird shit. Because the game reuses assets like fuck, shit gets thrown in like a sakura forest or arcade in a dimension of nothingness. Explained away conveniently later.

The goth bitch comes back, but a second Nep comes with it, alluded to in the end of V. She also is a traitorous twat but also isn't, because pudding I think.

===PART 2===
Some shit about two ninjas, a raging Lebanese communist with an equals sign in his name, bipedal Dogoos, and the Secure Hash Algorithm (SHA).

B-Sha is a shit sovllvss Tesco Value NISA/Gust, C-Sha is a bit like Mina but not secretly in league with a lickorrist and much more playful/teasing overall, S-Sha is NOT INTERESTED, and K-Sha is cute af <3

The rat cunt also appears again but he's more or less a joke. Chuko is also no match for his darling Compa.

I want to suck on Croire's bratty mesugaki feet holy shit.

===PART 3===
Uzume's past is revealed, it's mostly a copypaste of Rei's from V.

The goddesses's dreams reveal them all, except Neptune and to a lesser extent Vert, to be egotistical, self serving arseholes deep down in their darkest interpretation of their thoughts.

==Morals==
50Hz bad, 60Hz good. Europeans are delusional fucktards that destroy and hate. Americans and Japanese are dreamy goddesses who create and love.

Or so they sodding thought.

No, seriously, Zero Dimension is a depiction of the world RIGHT AFTER THIS FUCKING GAME RELEASED LIKE WTF. Somehow, it predicted globohomo induced strife and toying with getting the worst feelings out of people, creating an abundance of negative energy all around.

==Regressions from V==
* Back/standby party member EXP no longer increases
* Back party member Lily Rank no longer increases
* The guard meter is gone and EXEs are so easy to get
* Weapons affect what attacks you can assign
* Skills are too OP now
* The world map is shittier
* [[Otori Cave]] does not appear 27 times

==Improvements from V==
* Scouts do it for free, like Histy's janny work on Nepwiki
* Doesn't run like shit except in certain places
* B I G M E T A L D O G O O

==Trivia==
* The japanese title is 新次元ケイムネプテューヌVII (''shin jigen game neptune VII'', literally "new dimension game [[neptune]] VII"). This means the localizers saw a game about the CPUs acquiring their ''new'' forms to represent the ''new'' console generation, which has the word ''new'' in the jp title, and decided that calling it Neodimension would make way too much fucking sense.

=== Intro: 5pb's concert ===

=== Opening ===

This is the most tastefully done 4th wall break in the entire franchise. It's an allusion to the medium of the show, and a reference to events that only the audience actually experiences, without any of the characters in-universe explicitly acknowledging it as such, or at all. If the entire series has been like this, instead of stale memes and ready player one with hot anime women, it might've actually been good. (i mean instead of the ready player one part, the hot anime women can stay that's fine)

Opening is p good tbh.

=== Green Heart's secret ===

=== [[Leanbox]]'s new technology ===

__FORCETOC__
[[File:Breast chart webp.jpg|thumb|500px|a visual aid of the characters' stats]]
A '''Stat''', also known as a '''Parameter''', is a statistic that describes how strong or weak a character is in certain areas. There are eight parameters common to all characters, as well as a wide range of additional parameters specific to each character.

This page lists the eight common parameters for each character in one convenient place. The parameters listed do not take equipment into account (debatable, in Uni's case). The list is sorted by IQ, because that's clearly the most optimal way to sort a list, however CPU forms are always listed immediately after regular forms.

This page is incomplete. You can help Hyperdimension Neptunia Wiki by filling in the missing information.
==Overview==

*'''B (Bust):''' The circumference around the largest part of the breasts, in centimeters.

*'''W (Waist):''' The circumference around the narrowest part of the waist, in centimeters.

*'''H (Hips):''' The circumference around the widest part of the hips, in centimeters.

*'''Cup:''' A simple method of assessing the breast size. Determined by the difference between the bust size and the band size (circumference around the area right above where the breasts start).
