''Hyperdimension Neptunia'' is a video game series with overly complicated titles and terrible naming schemes, like come on. The first game was named [[Hyperdimension Neptunia]] despite actually taking place in [[Superdimension]], the second game is [[Hyperdimension Neptunia Mk2]], which is a decent title, but then you get to the 3rd game, [[Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory]], or V for short. What the fuck is this? Then the next one is [[Megadimension Neptunia VII|Megadimension Neptunia Victory 2]], or ''VII'' for short. But that's not even the worst one. When you get to the remakes, it becomes even more fucked. The first 3 are known as [[:Category:Re;Birth Trilogy|Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 1-3]], so far pretty normal. But then the fuckers at Compile Heart and Idea Factory thought, "Hey, let's name the last game [[Megadimension Neptunia VIIR]] so it doesn't make fucking sense and confuses our fans." And when things seemed okay, the same fuckers chose to remake the first game again, naming it [[Neptunia re☆Verse]]. And now they pulled some shit like [[Hyperdimension Neptunia Unlimited ∞|Hyperdimension Neptunia Unlimited ''∞'']]''.''

==Development==

[[IF]] and [[Compa]] probably got so much hate-mail about them, for some reason that we may never know, not releasing a mainline Neptunia game for 11 whole fucking years, that they finally caved in to the pressure and are actually doing it. Like, what got up their ass? What happened those past 11 years? Did they get intimidated by the then upcoming release of that horse game? Didn't they see that, in the time period between then and now, they released [[Neptunia Virtual Stars|actual fucking dogshit they tried passing as a third-person shooter with VTubers in it]], while that other horse game turned into a cultural phenomenon worldwide, further cementing Neptunia as a has-been franchise? Instead of just sitting in their offices and pushing [[spinoff]] after [[Neptunia re☆Verse|spinoff]] after [[Neptunia re☆Verse|remake noone asked for]] after [[spinoff]], they should've just started developing this game as soon as VII was done. But it's too late. We've all moved on, except that one editor in this wiki who, by sheer will alone, has not. We all applaud her for her persistence and wish him the best in life.

== Gameplay ==
Let's all be real for a moment, it's just gonna be the same shit as VII, rehashed once again for the next generation of literally nobody in the world. Well, except that one guy I mentioned in the previous paragraph. And one more thing: I have a feeling that most of the game will be vibe-coded, and the gameplay will show that. Place your bets! I was writing a review for it until I asked Compa to show me <s>her panties</s> some actual game footage. I got kicked from the HQ just 5 seconds later, and the review was never finished.

== Story ==
I don't fucking know, it's got all the 4 characters from the previous games plus some new ones based on the consoles we have now. All we know is that Lastation's new CPU will have no [[Neptunia Shooter|games]].

==Reception==

We don't know yet, but the journos will probably hate it or not even bother, and the 6 people who actually go ahead and spend money on it will love it. Everyone else will look at it and go 'oh this exists' and quickly return to Umamusume or Blue Archive or whatever.

The sales will probably flop so hard that IF/CH will finally kill off this zombie series once and for all and kick it to the dust where it probably should have gone after VII. They'll probably turn one of their other IPs into their next cash cow and treat it the same way they treated Neptunia for years, much like they did with the Spectral Force/Generation of Chaos games (also uninspired garbage that noone gave a shit about even in Japan because it was mechanically garbage and like Neptunia it had three billion spinoffs, just look up Spectral Tower on the PS1)

==History==
One night, series composer [[Tsunako]] was out drinking with her bud ZUN. Tsunako said to her bud ZUN "oi mate show me how u draw ur lolis for that shit game u make." ZUN was like "lol ok" then he banged his head against a keyboard for 5 minutes and out pooped a god-tier song. Tsunako looked at the song and said "yo wtf this shit not loli, dis sum lit af music." ZUN just shrugged his shoulders and continued drinking his beer. Tsunako lit up a killer bong and looked at that song that ZUN just wrote in like 5 minutes while drunk and thought to herself, "bitch, please, I can totes make a 20 times better song if I wanted to." And so she got to work on writing Track 43. Tsunako says that she doesn't remember anything else that happened that night, but she does know that when she woke up the next day, the song was finished, she had temporarily lost her hearing, and the bar they were drinking at had been totaled. The song that she wrote that day was Track 43, and when she showed it to her boss Moo Niitani, he had an orgasm and immediately ordered the head programmer to implement the song into Hyperdimension Neptunia. Tsunako also notes that she never saw ZUN again after that fateful night, but he still shitposts on Twitter.

==Reception==
Critics everywhere praised Track 43 as the third coming of youkai Jesus. This Neptunia wiki was founded by Lazerz16 on February 26, 2011 and existed because... because. Created just four days after the [https://hyperdimensionneptunia.fandom.com/ original Neptunia wiki], it was quickly outclassed and abandoned, lost to the depths of the internet and was left wholly untouched for seven years. One fateful day, April 6, 2018 to be exact, a very earnest person with pure intentions stumbled across its rusty remains, a relic of a different time. [[User:Pllut6969|pllut6969]], perhaps feeling pity, or perhaps was just bored, decided to revitalize it. But what to do? There already existed two [https://neptunia.wiki/ superior Neptunia wiki]s, there was no room for a third. Then this person got an idea. An awful idea. pllut6969 had a wonderful, awful idea.

However, that all came to an end on March 31, 2021. As a cruel April Fool's joke, FANDOM, the site that was hosting the wiki decided to end it, not seeing eye-to-eye with pllut6969's very earnest efforts to make the wiki a great place for ''Neptunia'' fans to receive highly factual content. But the story doesn't end there of course, or else how would you be reading this? pllut6969 moved the entire wiki from hdneptunia.fandom.com to wiki.nepnep.world, allowing memes to prosper and sincerity to survive. And everyone lived happily ever after.

What the hell does "purple progress" mean, anyways? Does progress have a color? Is it ''really'' purple? I get that it's supposed to alliterate, but why of all things, progress? There's a ton of words that start with P that it could've been, like for example:

==Measurement System==
Planeptune uses its own unique measurement system, the nep. One nep is equal to 146cm, which coincidentally is exactly how tall the goddess, Neptune, is. Planeptune used to use the metric system like every other sane country in existence, but it was recently changed to the nep. This change was, of course, implemented by resident retard Neptune. Planeptune Tower, the tallest structure in Gamindustri''<sup>[citation needed]</sup>'', is approximately 1092 Neps tall.

==Pudding Industry==
Of all the industries in Planeptune, its pudding industry is by far the most prosperous. Planeptune churns out 400,000kg of pudding annually, exporting about 48% to the other nations. Only 9% of the national Planeptunian pudding crop is sold in the cities and towns of Planeptune. The remaining 43% of pudding is sold to the Basilicom. While this nets huge profits for pudding companies, there is always a dearth of pudding in Planeptune, leaving the masses unsatisfied. While uncommon, it's not unheard of for a fight to break out in the middle of a city over a single cup of pudding, known locally to Planeptunian citizens as "pudding fights". In response to steadily increasing casualties from pudding fights, the Basilicom began imposing harsh pudding taxes, increasing the pudding prices by 210%. This caused massive backlash which resulted in the famous 4 year period known as the "Planeptunian Pudding Dark Ages" which included massive local pudding riots, wide-scale national pudding protests, and a deluge of dank pudding memes on N-chan. The Dark Ages ended when the Basilicom rolled back the pudding tax by 70%, and began giving out pudding grants. The Basilicom-sponsored grants included several 1 million credit grants given to some of the largest pudding companies in order to expand their pudding production efficiency and improve pudding taste, and thousands of 100,000 credit grants given to start-up pudding companies looking to break into the pudding industry. As a result of these moves, while the Basilicom still hogs more pudding than is distributed to any country, pudding production increased tenfold, pudding quality skyrocketed, and national bliss was had. This result is known as the "Planeptunian Pudding Golden Ages" which continues to this day. The pudding memes on N-chan, however, only got danker.

Pudding is the national dish of Planeptune, and is had at most celebrations. Most Planeptune citizens consume pudding on a daily basis, many even double-dipping or triple-dipping and having pudding multiple times a day. At Planeptunian weddings, Pudding is usually served as the main dish, replacing the classical wedding cake seen in other nations. One of Planeptune's most famous tourist attractions is the National Pudding Vat, located on the second floor of the Planeptune Tower, which contains 20 tons of fresh pudding, which is replaced daily. Part of the reason why the National Pudding Vat is so famous, however, is due to the large amount of sightings of Planeptune's goddess, Neptune, who has been seen performing many actions with the pudding including (but not limited to) eating it, diving in it, sleeping on it, playing video games on it, smelling it, fighting [[Dogoo|dogoos]] with it, and suffocating herself in it.

While pudding remains Planeptune's #1 industry, pudding memorabilia also nets massive profits. This Neptunia wiki was founded by Lazerz16 on February 26, 2011 and existed because... because. Created just four days after the [https://hyperdimensionneptunia.fandom.com/ original Neptunia wiki], it was quickly outclassed and abandoned, lost to the depths of the internet and was left wholly untouched for seven years. One fateful day, April 6, 2018 to be exact, a very earnest person with pure intentions stumbled across its rusty remains, a relic of a different time. [[User:Pllut6969|pllut6969]], perhaps feeling pity, or perhaps was just bored, decided to revitalize it. But what to do? There already existed two [https://neptunia.fandom.com/ superior Neptunia wiki]s, there was no room for a third. Then this person got an idea. An awful idea. pllut6969 had a wonderful, awful idea.

However, that all came to an end on March 31, 2021. As a cruel April Fool's joke, FANDOM, the site that was hosting the wiki decided to end it, not seeing eye-to-eye with pllut6969's very earnest efforts to make the wiki a great place for ''Neptunia'' fans to receive highly factual content. But the story doesn't end there of course, or else how would you be reading this? pllut6969 moved the entire wiki from hdneptunia.fandom.com to wiki.nepnep.world, allowing memes to prosper and sincerity to survive. And everyone lived happily ever after.

== Personality ==
Uni's a tsundere. But unlike the majority of your garden-variety tsunderes, she doesn't default to extreme rage and denial at the mere notion of her giving a fuck about something. She gets flustered. Keep going and the denial slowly starts coming. It's the perfect kind of tsundere that resists enough to be fun to tease, but doesn't go so far as to use lethal force with the military arsenal she keeps up her ass (I'm calling you out Misato Tachibana). A side effect of that is that she doesn't have to be a hard-ass all the time and might just be your friend for the day without resistance. In short, Uni has some spunk. But not too much.

Uni has also shown a love for mecha. Unlike Nepgear though, she's into the weapons. Multi-missile launchers and rapid-firing miniguns totally give her a hard-on. No one knows how, but nobody blames her.

Uni deserves love and affection because Noire barely gives her any. It takes a special kind of love to still be attached to your sister after being shot down constantly. But to be fair, Noire still cares. Just a little. At least she's married to Nepgear now.

In 4 Goddesses Online, Uni plays the Thief class. For some reason in this game she gets obsessed with treasure hunting. She has the capability to beat the game in just over an hour with her friends by using her only two good skills, Elemental Shot and Rapid Barrett.

*It may not seem so at first glance, but she's nearly identical to her older sister. Without their signature outfits and hairstyles, it can be difficult to tell them apart. ==Plot==

Don't you hate it when girls come falling from the sky? Anyways, [[Segami]] falls from the sky and lands on [[IF]], who is somehow able to catch her while driving her motorbike at illegal speeds, and the two wander into a nearby library. They meet [[Histoire]], who tells them of the [https://sonic.fandom.com/wiki/Time_Eater#Villains Time Eater], which after getting beat up by Sonic has come to this dimension to wreak more havoc. Histy sends the two of them on a quest to restore history (whatever that means) by going into four different time periods and beating up everyone involved.

===IF's Flame Awakening===
In this game, IF has this mysterious power to transform, using a skill named Flame Awakening. While it mostly just makes her a lot redder, it also makes her as powerful as the goddesses in their transformed states. This ability is NEVER referenced to by the story throughout the entire game, nor does she transform in any cutscenes, and she has it from the start of the game. This ability, of course, never makes an appearance in any other game either. It was most likely a last minute addition by the devs to make IF less trash as she's the main character here.
===The Final Boss===
Hilariously, the last boss (the Time Eater) just lurks around the corner for the entire game waiting for you to come and beat it up, presumably having a feast of books while it waits. You can challenge it any time but it will probably just beat ''you'' up unless you're around level 90 or so.
==The Sega Hard Girls==
The main draw of this game, look, they're even in the title. Four horribly unimaginative and terribly designed anthropomorphizations of four pieces of Sega Hardware: the [[Mega Drive|Sega Mega Drive]] (the Seha equivalent disappointingly not renamed to Genesis for the gringo audience), the [[Saturn|Sega Saturn]], the [[Game Gear|Sega Game Gear]], and the [[Dreamcast|Sega Dreamcast]], with just the "Sega" part dropped for the names of the respective girls. While they each have their own personalities, they don't quite appear onscreen enough to get attached. They're an entirely unexplained existence, and all they do for the entire game is fight their goddess counterparts. There are actually other Sega Hard Girls, for other pieces of Sega hardware, but they only appear as chirper icons.

If you didn't figure it out already, the Sega Hard Girls aren't property of Compile Heart or Idea Factory. They're indeed IPs of Sega, originating from a shitty light novel series and an equally shitty anime series. Since there's no room for information on them anywhere else on this wiki, I'll give you brief recommendation: it's worth watching if you are a big Sega fan, and absolutely NOT worth watching for anyone else. Episode 2 is the best episode.

Considering that they exist, and that Neptunia has [[Uzume Tennouboshi|four]] [[Neptune|Sega]] [[Nepgear|themed]] [[Plutia|goddesses]], this crossover was only a matter of time, and that time was 2015. By the way, if the name "Seha" ever confused you, it's an abbreviation of '''Se'''ga '''Ha'''rd [Girls].

===Dungeons===
In this game, dungeons are a bit upgraded. Although some of our favorite recurring dungeons do make a return, there are actually some new dungeons that utilize some new mechanics. IF (or Segami, if you actually bother changing your character to the only other party leader) can climb vines, shimmey across ropes, and even crawl through small passages. While performing any of those actions, she has a really funny animation that never gets old no matter how many times you look at it. Amusingly, every time she crawls into a hole, the camera shoves itself into her ass. This means that if you bother to change your party leader to Segami, you get to stare at her undies for a good 3 seconds. Sadly, you cannot set any of the other characters as the leader (despite being able to in other games), so she's the only one who gives you a free upskirt this time around. Some of the new dungeons are actually a bit intricate, instead of the one screen levels present in other games (dont worry, this game has its fair share of those too), and give you some small sense of exploration.
===Battle System===
This game has quite possibly the best battle system in the entire series. I suppose that after making so many Neptunia games, Compile Heart eventually figured out how to make a battle system that doesn't suck. It's massively simplified from earlier ''Re;Birth'' titles, instead of having 3 different types of normal attacks, with multiple different attacks per type, it has just one, but it can be done multiple times in one turn. Each action slowly fills an action gauge, which when filled ends your turn, and as it fills, makes your next turn come later. Due to this mechanic, you can even perform actions such as Skills multiple times in one turn, or neglect to perform all of your actions so that your next turn comes sooner. There is also a charge attack option, which while powerful, fills the entire meter. The turn order list actually finally fucking works properly this time, and even lets you know where you'll be in the list ''after'' you perform an action, allowing you to plan out your moves much more accurately. It also has a weird Fever mechanic that allows you to spam EXE drives to absolutely rape bosses. One unfortunate downside of the battle system is it requires you to recharge SP by attacking enemies (similar to games like [[Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth3 V Generation|Re;Birth3]]), which can take a long time. Additionally, enemies don't quite give enough EXP, which can require you to grind quite a bit for some boss fights. Anyways, [[Segami]] falls from the sky and lands on [[IF]], who is somehow able to catch her while driving her motorbike at illegal speeds, and the two wander into a nearby library. They meet [[Histoire]], who tells them of the [https://sonic.fandom.com/wiki/Time_Eater#Villains Time Eater], which after getting beat up by Sonic has come to this dimension to wreak more havoc. Histy sends the two of them on a quest to restore history (whatever that means) by going into four different time periods and beating up everyone involved.

===IF's Flame Awakening===
In this game, IF has this mysterious power to transform, using a skill named Flame Awakening. While it mostly just makes her a lot redder, it also makes her as powerful as the goddesses in their transformed states. This ability is NEVER referenced to by the story throughout the entire game, nor does she transform in any cutscenes, and she has it from the start of the game. This ability, of course, never makes an appearance in any other game either. It was most likely a last minute addition by the devs to make IF less trash as she's the main character here.
===The Final Boss===
Hilariously, the last boss (the Time Eater) just lurks around the corner for the entire game waiting for you to come and beat it up, presumably having a feast of books while it waits. You can challenge it any time but it will probably just beat ''you'' up unless you're around level 90 or so.
==The Sega Hard Girls==
The main draw of this game, look, they're even in the title. Four horribly unimaginative and terribly designed anthropomorphizations of four pieces of Sega Hardware: the [[Mega Drive|Sega Mega Drive]] (the Seha equivalent disappointingly not renamed to Genesis for the gringo audience), the [[Saturn|Sega Saturn]], the [[Game Gear|Sega Game Gear]], and the [[Dreamcast|Sega Dreamcast]], with just the "Sega" part dropped for the names of the respective girls. While they each have their own personalities, they don't quite appear onscreen enough to get attached. They're an entirely unexplained existence, and all they do for the entire game is fight their goddess counterparts. There are actually other Sega Hard Girls, for other pieces of Sega hardware, but they only appear as chirper icons.

If you didn't figure it out already, the Sega Hard Girls aren't property of Compile Heart or Idea Factory. They're indeed IPs of Sega, originating from a shitty light novel series and an equally shitty anime series. Since there's no room for information on them anywhere else on this wiki, I'll give you brief recommendation: it's worth watching if you are a big Sega fan, and absolutely NOT worth watching for anyone else. Episode 2 is the best episode.

Considering that they exist, and that Neptunia has [[Uzume Tennouboshi|four]] [[Neptune|Sega]] [[Nepgear|themed]] [[Plutia|goddesses]], this crossover was only a matter of time, and that time was 2015. ===Dungeons===
In this game, dungeons are a bit upgraded. Although some of our favorite recurring dungeons do make a return, there are actually some new dungeons that utilize some new mechanics. IF (or Segami, if you actually bother changing your character to the only other party leader) can climb vines, shimmey across ropes, and even crawl through small passages. While performing any of those actions, she has a really funny animation that never gets old no matter how many times you look at it. Amusingly, every time she crawls into a hole, the camera shoves itself into her ass. This means that if you bother to change your party leader to Segami, you get to stare at her undies for a good 3 seconds. Sadly, you cannot set any of the other characters as the leader (despite being able to in other games), so she's the only one who gives you a free upskirt this time around. Some of the new dungeons are actually a bit intricate, instead of the one screen levels present in other games (dont worry, this game has its fair share of those too), and give you some small sense of exploration.
===Battle System===
This game has quite possibly the best battle system in the entire series. I suppose that after making so many Neptunia games, Compile Heart eventually figured out how to make a battle system that doesn't suck. It's massively simplified from earlier ''Re;Birth'' titles, instead of having 3 different types of normal attacks, with multiple different attacks per type, it has just one, but it can be done multiple times in one turn. Each action slowly fills an action gauge, which when filled ends your turn, and as it fills, makes your next turn come later. Due to this mechanic, you can even perform actions such as Skills multiple times in one turn, or neglect to perform all of your actions so that your next turn comes sooner. There is also a charge attack option, which while powerful, fills the entire meter. The turn order list actually finally fucking works properly this time, and even lets you know where you'll be in the list ''after'' you perform an action, allowing you to plan out your moves much more accurately. It also has a weird Fever mechanic that allows you to spam EXE drives to absolutely rape bosses. One unfortunate downside of the battle system is it requires you to recharge SP by attacking enemies (similar to games like [[Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth3 V Generation|Re;Birth3]]), which can take a long time. Additionally, enemies don't quite give enough EXP, which can require you to grind quite a bit for some boss fights. The next thing she knew, she was alone in the dark, and a voice reached out to her needing her help. This voice belonged to Histoire, who had been sealed. This was just a dream, however. When she woke up, she found herself in an unfamiliar room. A girl who was sitting next to her explained that this was her room, and that she had found Neptune pierced elegantly into the ground, like a spear. She introduced herself as Compa. Neptune introduces herself too, but ends up with the nickname "Nep-Nep," due to her name being too difficult for Compa to pronounce. She goes on a journey around Gamindustri, collecting Key Fragments guarded by strong monsters in order to break the seal on Histoire.

Laid back and carefree. That Nep doesn't have a care in the world and jokes around all the time. Despite everything, she cares for her friends and shows a strong sense of justice. She'd do great in a shounen manga.

===HDD Form===
More calm and observant than her human form. It's still Neptune, though, so you can see her playful side shine through every now and then if you pay attention long enough. In Victory/Re;Birth3, she shows herself to be a master of the art of tsukkomi (aka WITTY COMEBACKS), which is a mandatory skill when dealing with Sadie. She can also get pretty horny at times, but you haven't heard that from us.

===Likes and Dislikes===
Neptune likes pudding. Neptune loves pudding. If Neptune doesn't eat at least 5 servings of pudding daily, she will surely die. She doesn't, however, like eggplants. She dislikes eggplants so much that with a strong enough eggplant smell, she won't be able to maintain HDD. Neptune also hates work. She's so adverse to working, that if it wasn't for the fact that Histoire keeps her on a literal leash, (what, did you think that choker was just for show?) she wouldn't work a single second in the day. She's lucky she's a video game character. Neptune spends so much time eating junk food and playing video games that, well, let's just say that if she were a real person in real life, she'd look like some of the "art" you see on DeviantArt.
== Anatomy ==
The average height of an adult Neptune is 4' 9" (146cm). The max known height of a Neptune is 5' 4" (164cm). There is no known minimum height of an adult Neptune. The average thigh gap is 1.22" (3.1cm).

Neptune's anatomy is a little bit different from your average human or goddess. The most notable of which is the fact that she doesn't actually have a brain. Despite hundreds of years of study, scientists still cannot figure out how Neptune manages to live without a brain, but she does. The reason why she is so stupid is directly because of her lack of a brain. Most likely, the reason why she is able to survive a fall from any height, is also due to not having a brain, which was hinted at in Victory.
Neptune also has an unusual metabolism. Her metabolism is highly specialized in processing carbohydrates. In layman's terms, that means she can eat sweets without getting fat. The only other character in the Neptunia series that can do that is [[Reimu Hakurei|Reimu]], with the power of her Yin-Yang Orb.
The D-pad shaped accessories on her head appear to be hairclips, but are actually a part of her body. While they are detachable, Neptune gets cranky after spending a long time without them. They are very hard, have a plastic-like texture, and sharp edges. The edges aren't sharp enough to cut skin, but will cause considerable discomfort when rubbed.

Another oddity of Neptune's anatomy is her bone structure. At a glance, Neptune appears to have regular bones, just like any ordinary human or goddess. However, instead of bones, Neptune's skeleton is actually made up of what's called "lazybones." Neptune's lazybones function mostly the same as regular bones, however, the more Neptune moves around, the more energy her lazybones sap from her, making her just want to roll around and do nothing. They also rattle when she gets really upset. Her hands and fingers, however, have regular bones instead of lazybones, so playing video games doesn't make her lethargic at all.

Albeit a bit unrelated to her anatomy, her signature jacket has a unique ability. It bestows upon the wearer the ability to see behind the fourth wall. Wearing it just once will have permanent effects, but the more someone wears it, the stronger that ability becomes. Since Neptune wears it (almost) all the time, her ability to break the fourth wall is almost unparalleled. Neptune has actually been to the real world once before, but only for several seconds in New Mexico. After taking a right turn at Albuquerque, she found herself back in Gamindustri.

== Voice ==
Her Japanese voice actress is Rie Tanaka, and her English voice actress is Melissa Fahn. Her Japanese voice is very annoying. She seems to think, "IF I GO HIGHER PITCHED, I'M CUTER, RIGHT???" but it really works against her. Her English voice is considerably deeper, yet perfectly embodies Neptune. She speaks playfully and jokingly, sometimes a bit singsong, which is a fitting voice for Neptune's mischievous, stupid, and energetic character. When it comes to Purple Heart, however, the Japanese voice actress definitely is better. While Fahn does a great job at bringing Neptune to life, she struggles on the delivery of Purple Heart's more mature and calm voice. She does have a sweet, smooth caramel voice as Purple Heart, though, which can make you eargasm the moment you listen to her. Tanaka's performance as Purple Heart is very much the same as Fahn's, still with that same sexy mature voice, but she shows a far greater deal of competence as a voice actor. Fahn also does a poor job with Next Purple, sounding very similar to the dreadful English performance of [http://metroid.wikia.com/wiki/Samus_Aran Samus Aran] in [https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5c4e41d2b40b9d6e2ab467ff/1612855779673-B5L9FMMXBC4NWRG4N0YF/residential-trash-services.jpg Metroid: Other M]. The Hard Drives invade a shrine and steal a bunch of miko uniforms to give a new year's greeting to the citizens of Gamindustri.
===Chapter 4===
Neptune becomes a character from Virtua Fighter, and Noire becomes Parappa the Rapper. Then [[Gust]] robs them blind.
===Chapter 5===
[[Nisa]] makes her first (and last) appearance in the manga, where she uncovers and subsequently foils [[Histoire]]'s secret plot to resurrect [[Arfoire]]. Histoire is very cute.

Ganache shows how badass he is by pulling out a fucking gun. He subsequently shows how worthless he is by getting captured immediately. This forces Noire to go save his ass.

Obligatory hot springs chapter where the CPUs (plus [[Compa]] and [[IF]]) go to the hot springs, and everyone gets drunk. Neptune rapes Compa, Vert rapes Noire, and Blanc just stares blankly at Neptune's ass. There were some peeping toms that came to see the show, but they get murdered in cold blood by Compa.

The debut chapter of Vee Seturn and Hai Seturn. However, since they are just palette swaps of Neptune and [[Nepgear]] respectively, they never appear anywhere else ever again.

Neptune gets a cavity and Nepgear schedules her an express appointment to see a dentist. However, Neptune runs away to [[Lowee]] and Nepgear has to go look for her. She hides in the Basilicom, and asks Blanc for help. She helps Neptune hide from Nepgear, but when Blanc finds out about the dentist appointment, she ties her up and hands her over to Nepgear.
===Chapter 12===
Noire, [[Uni]], Neptune, and [[Vert]] are sent on a quest to break up the R4 game conference. They succeed, however Blanc wins the MVP award by doing absolutely nothing.
===Chapter 13===
Neptune: Phew... so far so good! [Spots Neptoon] Hey, that's...

Neptoon: That purple goddess again of all places...

Neptune: I've found you, faker!

Neptoon: Faker? I think you're the fake goddess around here. You're comparing yourself to me? Ha! You're not even good enough to be Neptune: I'll make you eat those words!

[[Rom]] and [[Ram]] booby trap the entire Lowee basilicom in a futile attempt to capture Santa Claus. When Santa goes to deliver them presents, and finds the entire place trapped from floor to chimney, he nopes out of there and they get nothing. When they wake up to find nothing on their beds, despite having been such good girls all year (relatively speaking, of course), they are heartbroken and start crying.
===Chapter 15===
Obligatory New Years chapter. You know what that means! Yep, it's time for all of the CPUs to become idols!

===Chapter 16===
Obligatory Valentine's Day chapter. Neptune concocts a secret plan to gain a mountain of chocolate by use of a love potion, but it backfires magnificently, and ends with her being chased by a horde of rabid yanderes.

Uni are become [[Dogoo|dogoo]], the destroyer of worlds.
===Chapter 18===
Neptune and Nepgear get sucked into a Nintendo Famicom and are forced to play some brutally hard classic NES (Famicom) games. The legendary Rock Paper Strippers makes its appearance at the end. Nepgear, who does not like this at all, gets very angry and takes out her [[Gehaburn]]...

The four goddesses enter an art contest because Histoire held them at gunpoint and forced them to. As a result of this contest, it is revealed that Noire was actually [[Tsunako]] this whole time.

[[Underling]] and [[Warechu]] poison Vert and plan to take over [[Leanbox]]. However, they are quickly thwarted by Master Chief.

Neptune, Compa, and IF go to a graveyard in yukatas (what? Who DOESN'T go to a graveyard in a yukata?) for a test of courage. Compa, of course, fails spectacularly. She gets lost, but ends up reuniting with [[First-Gen Compa|her dead mom]], who guides her back to Nep-nep and Iffy safely.

Another beach chapter. This time it's beach volleyball, CPUs vs [[CFW Magic]] and Underling. The CPUs absolutely floor them, and they are forced to participate in the punishment game: becoming gravure idols. As a result, despite losing, Magic's popularity shoots through the roof. A chapter that plays tribute to both fighting games and Super Smash Bros.. A pair of dojo breakers from the ancient "Niio-giio" land show up and crash the Gamindustri athletics festival. The four CPUs show up to stop them, but three of the four are defeated by the breakers' legendary explosive clothing technique. Then it's Blanc's turn to bat. She defeats them by ledge stalling until they randomly trip (thanks Sakurai), then shinespiking them offstage.

At the end of the chapter, Histoire gifts the four goddesses with new clothes based on the [[Ultradimension]] CPUs (even Blanc, even though her clothes didn't explode (for Neptune, it's her outfit from [[Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory|Victory]])), and begins cosplaying as Ultradimension Histoire the next chapter, completely skipping over Hyperdimension Histoire.
===Chapter 24===
A very neat chapter that pays tribute to the Sega Genesis (or the Sega Mega Drive, for non-yanks). It also is [[Plutia]]'s debut chapter. The three [[Planeptune|Planeptunian]] goddesses form the Tower of Power using their signature lock-on technology in order to protect the Mega Dr....agons from the assault of Arfoire's lackeys.

While Lindley ''does'' do a good job of capturing the spirit of Ram's childlike and mischevious personality, and does a half-decent job of, well, acting, there's just one problem with her performance as Ram, which is a common problem with English voice acting in general. She sounds too old! Ram is clearly supposed to be like 10, but Lindley makes her sound like a much more developed teen. At least she still sounds like a "child" (in a comparatively loose definition of the word "child"), and not like a full-grown adult, I guess. Ishihara on the other hand, makes Ram sound cute as FUCK. She's better at the acting part too, but doesn't quite capture the essence of total bitchery like Lindley does.

In VII she has a bigger attack range than Ram, plus a lot of her weapons have more attack slots, meaning the slight attack power advantage that Ram has might as well not even exist since now Rom does not only more damage but to more opponents at the same time. She's actually like the best character in the game since she can 1rko most random encounters, and a lot of them at the same time due to her massive range. Being a magic user is also a plus since that means she can still deal damage to the few enemies that are resistant to physical attacks. It's also a plus because magic attacks in that game are op in general.

Long ago in Celestia, Neptune was born with half a brain. Neptune was confronted by the other three goddesses ([[Vert]], [[Blanc]], and [[Noire]]), chosen to be exiled to signal the end of the console war. She was defeated and banished to the world below, known as Gamindustri.

The next thing she knew, she was alone in the dark, and a voice reached out to her needing her help. This voice belonged to Histoire, who had been sealed. This was just a dream, however. When she woke up, she found herself in an unfamiliar room. A girl who was sitting next to her explained that this was her room, and that she had found Neptune pierced elegantly into the ground, like a spear. She introduced herself as Compa. Neptune introduces herself too, but ends up with the nickname "Nep-Nep," due to her name being too difficult for Compa to pronounce. She goes on a journey around Gamindustri, collecting Key Fragments guarded by strong monsters in order to break the seal on Histoire.

Stuff happens in Ultradimension and Neptune is there just so that the producers have an excuse to name the game "Neptunia" so that the game can sell. Regardless of relative quality, if the game was called "Ultradimension Plutia" the game would have sold half as much. Neptune doesn't do much of value besides existing. Which, admittedly, is plenty of value.

Laid back and carefree. That Nep doesn't have a care in the world and jokes around all the time. Despite everything, she cares for her friends and shows a strong sense of justice. She'd do great in a shounen manga.

===HDD Form===
More calm and observant than her human form. It's still Neptune, though, so you can see her playful side shine through every now and then if you pay attention long enough. In Victory/Re;Birth3, she shows herself to be a master of the art of tsukkomi (aka WITTY COMEBACKS), which is a mandatory skill when dealing with [[Plutia|Sadie]].

===Likes and Dislikes===
Neptune likes pudding. Neptune ''loves'' pudding. If Neptune doesn't eat at least 5 servings of pudding daily, she will surely die. She doesn't, however, like eggplants. She dislikes eggplants so much that with a strong enough eggplant smell, she won't be able to maintain HDD. Neptune also hates work. She's so adverse to working, that if it wasn't for the fact that Histoire keeps her on a literal leash, (what, did you think that choker was just for show?) she wouldn't work a single second in the day. She's lucky she's a video game character. Neptune spends so much time eating junk food and playing video games that, well, let's just say that if she were a real person in real life, she'd look like some of the "art" you see on DeviantArt.

== Anatomy ==
The average height of an adult Neptune is 4' 9" (146cm). The max known height of a Neptune is 5' 4" (164cm). There is no known minimum height of an adult Neptune. The average thigh gap is 1.22" (3.1cm).

Neptune's anatomy is a little bit different from your average human or goddess. The most notable of which is the fact that she doesn't actually have a brain. Despite hundreds of years of study, scientists still cannot figure out how Neptune manages to live without a brain, but she does. The reason why she is so stupid is directly because of her lack of a brain. Most likely, the reason why she is able to survive a fall from any height, is also due to not having a brain, which was hinted at in Victory.
Neptune also has an unusual metabolism. Her metabolism is highly specialized in processing carbohydrates. In layman's terms, that means she can eat sweets without getting fat. The only other character in the Neptunia series that can do that is [[Reimu Hakurei|Reimu]], with the power of her Yin-Yang Orb.
The D-pad shaped accessories on her head appear to be hairclips, but are actually a part of her body. While they are detachable, Neptune gets cranky after spending a long time without them. They are very hard, have a plastic-like texture, and sharp edges. The edges aren't sharp enough to cut skin, but will cause considerable discomfort when rubbed.

Another oddity of Neptune's anatomy is her bone structure. At a glance, Neptune appears to have regular bones, just like any ordinary human or goddess. However, instead of bones, Neptune's skeleton is actually made up of what's called "lazybones." Neptune's lazybones function mostly the same as regular bones, however, the more Neptune moves around, the more energy her lazybones sap from her, making her just want to roll around and do nothing. They also rattle when she gets really upset. Her hands and fingers, however, have regular bones instead of lazybones, so playing video games doesn't make her lethargic at all.

Albeit a bit unrelated to her anatomy, her signature jacket has a unique ability. It bestows upon the wearer the ability to see behind the fourth wall. Wearing it just once will have permanent effects, but the more someone wears it, the stronger that ability becomes. Since Neptune wears it (almost) all the time, her ability to break the fourth wall is almost unparalelled. Neptune has actually been to the real world once before, but only for several seconds in New Mexico. After taking a right turn at Albuquerque, she found herself back in Gamindustri.

== Voice ==
Her Japanese voice actress is Rie Tanaka, and her English voice actress is Melissa Fahn. Her Japanese voice is very annoying. She seems to think, "IF I GO HIGHER PITCHED, I'M CUTER, RIGHT???" but it really works against her. Her English voice is considerably deeper, yet perfectly embodies Neptune. She speaks playfully and jokingly, sometimes a bit singsong, which is a fitting voice for Neptune's mischievous, stupid, and energetic character. When it comes to Purple Heart, however, the Japanese voice actress definitely is better. While Fahn does a great job at bringing Neptune to life, she struggles on the delivery of Purple Heart's more mature and calm voice. She does have a sweet, smooth caramel voice as Purple Heart, though, which can make you eargasm the moment you listen to her. Tanaka's performance as Purple Heart is very much the same as Fahn's, still with that same sexy mature voice, but she shows a far greater deal of competence as a voice actor. Fahn also does a poor job with Next Purple, sounding very similar to the dreadful English performance of [http://metroid.wikia.com/wiki/Samus_Aran Samus Aran] in [http://www.whitby.ca/en/residents/resources/pw-waste_garbage.jpg Metroid: Other M]. Tanaka's NEXT Purple is barely noticeable compared to the good old Purple Heart.

This Neptunia wiki was founded by Lazerz16 on February 26, 2011 and existed because... because. Created just four days after the [https://hyperdimensionneptunia.fandom.com/ original Neptunia wiki], it was quickly outclassed and abandoned, lost to the depths of the internet and was left wholly untouched for seven years. One fateful day, April 6, 2018 to be exact, a very earnest person with pure intentions stumbled across its rusty remains, a relic of a different time. [[User:Pllut6969|pllut6969]], perhaps feeling pity, or perhaps was just bored, decided to revitalize it. But what to do? There already existed two [https://neptunia.fandom.com/ superior Neptunia wiki]s, there was no room for a third. Then this person got an idea. An awful idea. pllut6969 had a wonderful, awful idea.

However, that all came to an end on March 31, 2021. As a cruel April Fool's joke, FANDOM, the site that was hosting the wiki decided to end it, not seeing eye-to-eye with pllut6969's very earnest efforts to make the wiki a great place for ''Neptunia'' fans to receive highly factual content. But the story doesn't end there of course, or else how would you be reading this? pllut6969 moved the entire wiki from hdneptunia.fandom.com to wiki.nepnep.world, allowing memes to prosper and sincerity to survive. She seems to be a headstrong character, and likes to accomplish the important things first. I'm pretty sure she actually hates Neptune with a passion, but she's too lonely to admit that. Now, I know what you're thinking. "This isn't [[Noire]]'s page!" Right? I know having no friends is Noire's thing, but just look at IF. She's so bitchy, with a personality like that there's no way she has any friends besides Neptune and Compa. Really, if Neptune wasn't so retarded and Compa so needlessly nice, she probably wouldn't be friends with them either. If you think IF's not bitchy, dude, just ''touch'' her bike. Seriously, just ''touch'' it. You'll instantly learn what true malice is like. You ever wonder why IF carries around so many phones? It's because she's secretly hoping that the more phones she has the more likely it is that someone will actually call her, even if it's a wrong number. She doesn't use those phones for dumb or silly things like intelligence gathering, nor does she just like phones. You notice how her main phone has a bug strap? What kind of girl likes bug straps? I'll bet that she made 0 girl friends when she was a kid. Oh, wait, she's still a kid.
