8-bit Battle, also known as "Tutorial Battle Theme", or "Splash" is the 12th music track found in the file data for the original Hyperdimension Neptunia. It's the best song in the game's entire OST. It plays during all normal battles in the first dungeon of the game, only to be never heard again. The song also reappears in Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;birth1 as Splash, where it is the battle theme for all normal encounters.
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
Compile Heart's motto when producing this song because its melody is seriously used like 4 times in the game, not to mention making a reappearance in Re;birth1. I know this is actually like the only good song in that trash OST but how about instead of remixing it to hell you just make a half decent OST, hmm? Even for being the best song in the OST tho, it's still kinda shoddy. The song never has more than 3 simultaneous sounds and also absolutely no percussion. Seriously, what was the sound budget for this game? $100? Did they hire poor Kaneko for like a month or what?
