Horsebird

Horsebirds (馬鳥, Umatori) are one of many enemies in the Neptunia series. They are in fact the cross of a bird and or a horse. While found mostly in early dungeons there are a few slightly stronger variants in some of the Neptunia games.

Biology

Anatomy

Horsebirds have quite the... unique anatomy, they are both horse and bird. Science cannot explain how a horse and a bird fucked to create this abomination, but somehow it happened. Its basically a horse with wings instead of front legs and a normal horse tail.

Despite having wings, horsebirds can't actually fly. Actually, they can actually fly, just not very far or high, actually. They're kind of like chickens in that respect.

Paralyzing Mist

Despite the fact that both horses and birds do not have the ability to release paralyzing mist, the horsebird can. Horsebirds can also create explosions. Science also cannot explain how this occurs. In nature the horsebird can be found 360 no scoping scrubs with their explosions, but for some reason can only release its paralyzing mist while below 50% health.

Diet

Horsebirds are omnivores, however, like horses, they predominantly just eat grass or other vegetation. Due to not having front legs, they often fall over while doing so, and take quite a bit of effort to get back up. This makes them prime targets for potential predators, so they tend to flourish more in forests or other places where they don't have to bend over to eat. While they have evolved over time to be able to eat meat to make up for this, they don't like the taste and usually avoid eating meat unless they're particularly hungry.

Domestication

Horsebirds used to be a common mount, but then some douchebag just had to ruin the fun by inventing cars, which obsoletified them instantly.

Food

Horsebird meat is commonly consumed in many households of Gamindustri. Depending on the cut of meat the horsebird tastes either like horse or bird. Horsebird meat is eaten either cooked or raw as sashimi. Horsebird eggs and milk are commonly not eaten, as they both taste pretty disgusting.
